A US size 7 ring is 17.3 mm inside diameter and 54.3 mm around. Size 6 is 16.5 mm, size 8 is 18.1 mm, size 9 is 19.0 mm.

Canada uses US sizing. The UK, Australia and Ireland share the letter system. European sizes are approximate conversions.
Men average US 8 to 11, most commonly 10. Wide bands sit snugger, so at 6 mm and above consider a half size up. Sizes are read from the same table.
Women average US 5 to 8, most commonly 7. Ring sizing does not differ by gender, so read the same table above.
Size 5 is 15.7 mm. Size 6 is 16.5 mm. Size 7 is 17.3 mm. Size 8 is 18.1 mm. Size 9 is 19.0 mm. Size 10 is 19.8 mm. All figures are inside diameter.

A last resort. Wrap non stretch string around the base, mark where it meets, and measure the length in mm.
